train costs

Does anyone know if there is any benefit to booking rail tickets in advance for a journey between Brussels and Brugge?

Thanks

None whatsoever and you can%26#39;t exactly %26quot;book%26quot; anyway, although you can purchase in advance from the b-rail website. You can%26#39;t reserve (i.e. book) a seat on trains within Belgium, unless you happen to be a group of about 15.

There is a financial advantage to travelling at the weekend, though, as return tickets cost about half the normal weekday price if bought on Saturday or Sunday (in fact, from something like 19h00 on Friday evenings till last train on Sunday).
