One night in Bruges!

Hi,

We%26#39;re a group of four people (one couple + 2 extras) doing a Saturday - Sunday trip to Bruges early in August.

We would like to make the most of our brief stint in Bruges (for the one night!) and would appreciate any suggestions regarding good value accomodation (B%26amp;B or similiar) and perhaps a few good restaurants/bars.

Hi just got back from a whistle-stop trip to Belgium - Brussels, Bruges, Antwerp. One thing you MUST do is a boat trip!!! Very cheap - about 6.5 euros and a great way to see the town and get your bearings!!! I was very surprised that food/drink is very reasonable there too. There is a lovely brasserie down the side street from where the horse carriages leave from - excellent food and great value for a set meal. It is called %26quot;The Brasserie%26quot; I think - but everyone stops and looks up as there is a statue of a fat nun wearing sunglasses popping out from the roof!!! Wine is expensive everywhere but the %26quot;fruit beer%26quot; for the ladies is lovely - raspberry or cranberry is the best!!! Have a great trip!!!
