Pullman bar in Hotel Astoria

Has anyone been to the Champagne bar in the Hotel Astoria? I can%26#39;t seem to find any good pictures/reviews of it.

I%26#39;d like to take my fiancé to a classy bar while in Brussels....any other suggestions?

Unfortunately the Hotel Astoria it%26#39;s now undergoing a much needed renovation programme, and it will remain closed during that period. If you want simular styled decor, try the Hotel Metropole and its bar.

I visited the champagne bar before the renovations and was disappointed as I was expecting it to be kitted out like the Orient Express - but if it ever was, it isn%26#39;t now.

The Métropole is a well-loved café but I wouldn%26#39;t call it a classy bar. You could try the piano bar L%26#39;Archiduc at 6 rue Antoine Dansaert, the street opposite the Bourse (30s style, but a bit worn) or the lounge bar at the new Dominican, behind the opera house http://www.thedominican.be/
