Brussels Day Trip

Dear All,

I am taking my 6 and 3 years old sons to Brussels on a day trip, any advice on what we can do for fun? Thanks.

I%26#39;m afraid I would suggest you leave them at home, especially the 3-year old, as they aren%26#39;t likely to enjoy much of what there is to see and do in Brussels (unless perhaps they are precocious museum freaks?)

There is Autoworld at the Cinquantenaire if they like cars, and from the (free) Military Museum opposite you can go up to the top of the Cinquantenaire archway for the view. Both of these are near Mérode metro station (10 minute walk) or you can take the HoHo buses that leave from outside the central station - one stop on a train from Gare du Midi, where you arrive (take one of the airport trains), cost is included in your Eurostar ticket as it covers you to (and for your return to London, from) any Brussels station.

Otherwise, the Grand%26#39; Place and Galeries St. Hubert, with lots of chocolate shops, are just 5 minutes down the hill from the Gare centrale.

the natural histroy museum is pretty good and quite hands on.

You could go up to Heysel and see mini europe and the Atomium the parc at cinquintenaire is ok if the wether is good and mine liked the musical instrument museum in ythe %26quot;Old England%26quot; store.

My youngets is now five but it is hard to find many things they are interested in at that age other than having fun and running around Don%26#39;t try and do too uch and take your pleasures where you can.
