Ypres - Bruges

Will be travelling to Ypres in October 2008

would like to go to Bruges on a one day visit.

Is there a direct train from Ypres to Bruges

or does one have to change trains.

Whate time(s) do trains depart from Ypres _ Bruges

And return Bruges_ Ypres

I had a look at train time table on website

found it very confusing.

1) No direct trains, you have to change at Kortrijk, total travel time +/- 1h48.

2) On weekdays (you didn%26#39;t say when you wanted to go) there is a train to Sint Niklaas at 39 minutes past each hour, e.g. 09:39 (arr. Kortrijk 10:09), connecting with train to Oostende at 48 minutes past each hour, e.g. 10:48 (arr. Brugge 11:27).

3) I can%26#39;t be bothered to look up the details for the return journey but there are trains at e.g. 17:34, 18:34; again, first to Kortrijk and then to Ieper - end destination in this direction being Poperinge.

4) If you found the B-Rail website confusing, use the DB site, http://bahn.hafas.de/bin/query.exe/en. Except for fares, which you can only get from B-Rail (for this journey, €21 return).

Mant Thanks for all your help
