suitable hotel

could someone please recommend a hotel for a leasure trip to brussels in december.we are coming in from charlerio and getting the shuttle that drops you off at midi ststion.we liked the dominican and the carrfour d l,europe but not sure how long it would be in the taxi,i,ll find my bearings eventually,thanks ally

Well you don%26#39;t want to stay near the Midi station, however it would cost you only a few euros by taxi to either of the hotels you mention. The Dominicain is behind the opera house, which is by De Brouckère metro station (reachable via Arts-Loi but renovation work going on at De Brouckère is a bit of a pain at the moment)

The (Best Western) Carrefour de l%26#39;Europe is near the Central Station, so you could take a local train - any of those going to the airport - 1 stop from Midi, for about €1.50.

of those two hotels, the dominican is by far the better bet. it%26#39;s new and has a good, well-used bar and restaurant. go for any superior room you can afford - lighter and larger than the standard ones. if you can afford a juior suite even better, but as you are flying ryanair (i assume from charelroi) you may not have the budget?

easy taxi (about 10-15 eur) or tram ride from midi/zuid station where the charelroi bus arrives
