Nice Restaurnt For Next Monday Before I Propose

Hi,

Going back to Brussels with my gf on Sunday for 2 nights. It was our first foreign holiday together so seemed a nice place to ask her to marry me. Any suggestions on a nice restaurant for the big night on Monday?

We are based at the Meridian and I guess I can look around €100-120 mark for two courses and wine.. (together).

Any recommendations of somewhere romantic to propose are also welcome

There%26#39;s a very nice restaurant at the Avenue de la Toison d%26#39;or, beside the well known Avenue Louise called Chez Adrienne. The area might seem expensive but the prices of the food in the restaurant are very reasonable. Worthwhile trying I think. The Hilton Hotel is on the other side of the street. The Adrienne restaurant on Toison d%26#39;Or has been closed for years! It%26#39;s now a branch of the %26quot;healthy%26quot; fastfood place Pulp, see http://www.prowinko.be/index.php?item=107. In any case, that area is not all that convenient for the Méridien, which is opposite Gare centrale.

As the Museumbrasserie is closed till 11 August I would recommend:

L%26#39;Ogenblik, www.ogenblik.be, not far from your hotel in the Galerie des Princes.

Belga Queen, www.belgaqueen.be (not far from the opera house)

Bleu de Toi (means %26quot;mad about you%26quot;!) www.bleudetoi.be

If you like Moroccan food, Le Kasbah in rue Orts near the Bourse is quite romantic (or at least, dark, though with lots of lanterns: http://www.ebru.be/Restaurants/RstKasbah.html).

For the proposal, maybe upstairs at the Roi d%26#39;Espagne, looking down on the Grand%26#39; Place, if it isn%26#39;t crowded. Or on the rooftop terrace of the Musical Instrument Museum, if it%26#39;s a nice day (and not a Monday!).

So it shows how long it%26#39;s been since I%26#39;ve been there! Didn%26#39;t know, sorry. But then, there are enough other nice places to chose from I guess.
