Train from charleroi to Gare du Midi

We are sending our parents to Brussels for a few days, we have pciked the Bedford Hotel as it is near Gare du Midi and not far from the Grand Place etce. Does anyone know how easy or difficult it would be for 2 elderly people to navigate ther way in to the city by train. Also about this hotel theres mixed reviews, would it be a good choice?

thanks

If they are coming from Charleroi Airport rather than Brussels Airport, as seems likely from the title of your question, it would be easier for them to take the Ryanair shuttle bus all the way from the airport to Gare du Midi rather than the train, which would require them to first take a local bus (68, I think) from the airport to Charleroi-Sud railway station, and then the train from there.

I would not, myself, have claimed that the Bedford Hotel is %26quot;near Gare du Midi%26quot;, and a good job too, as that is a horrible area. I think the nearest (pre-)metro station is Anneessens which is 2 stops from Midi on the underground tram.

I can only comment on location as I live here so don%26#39;t know hotels, but I fail to see how it would help to be given yet more reviews, which would probably also be mixed!
