visiting belgium next may 2009 - already booked my flights with british airways. got a bargain with the brussels hilton 109 euros per day. after 2 or 3 days in brussels withn take one day side trips to antwerp,ghent and brugge which leaves me with some extra days. are there other places in belgium that are worth visiting as a one day side trip? thanks

Only Ieper (Ypres), Dinant, Namur, Leuven, Lier (near Antwerp)... although it also depends on what sort of things you like. You could of course go to Paris by Thalys in only 1h22, also to Maastricht in the Netherlands, Aachen or Cologne in Germany.
Why not go to the %26quot;Belgium forum%26quot; (click above title of your questoin) and on the left you will see %26quot;Things to do%26quot;, which will then be %26quot;in Belgium%26quot;.

can%26#39;t thank you enough the cities you gave me i checked them out i picked 2 more cities for one day side trips each and that is maastricht and aachen. the few photos these cities looked charming and scenic and worth a visit. i have been to paris and paris should be treated with at least a few days visit not a side trip.
i still have 2 or 3 days left im might revisit amsterdam i know the train is faster but i might take the bus as the bus is much cheaper than the train. you helped me with my itinirary and i am very grateful.
