1 day in Bruges

Hi,

Me along with my family will be arriving Bruges on Aug 25 from Amsterdam via the train and will be leaving for Paris on Aug 26, again via the train.

I was looking at hotels and see the following within my budget:

1. Apollo Arthotel Brugge

2. Hotel de Castillion

3. Hotel Leopold

Can any one suggest as to which hotel would be the best for us in terms of:

- reaching to and from the train station

- visiting the center city for a canal ride and a stroll

Also, what else can we do while we are there? We are not into museums.

Or maybe one of the following bed and breakfasts are more reccomended than the hotels i have listed above:

1. Absoluut Verhulst

2. Het Consulaat

3. Bed and Breakfast Lut and Bruno Setola

Don%26#39;t know about the hotel accomodation, sorry. Never spend a night there because we just live too close...

You really should go up the bell tower at the market-place. Very nice vieuw over Brugge. Just walking around will get the most out of your trip. Very nice houses, the %26#39;begijnhof%26#39; (some kind of ancient convent)
