where to stay in brussels

Hi, I%26#39;m going to Brussels in September with my sister and don%26#39;t know where is the best area to stay in. We don%26#39;t want to be far away from the centre/grand place. can anybody help?

The best area to stay in and indeed the highest concentration of hotels is the area near the Grand%26#39; Place/Gare centrale. See list of %26quot;Brussels Hotels%26quot; on the left, as rated by TA Members - they often mention the location.

After that, the best area to stay in would probably be around Louise (metro), e.g. the Brussels Hilton, Sofitel Louise, as these are easily reachable by metro from Gare du Midi and not far from the museums at Place Royale.

Hi - I can recommend the ASTRID CENTRE hotel, as being well placed for walking into the Centre, esp. areas like Saint Catherine (choice of seafood restaurants, with price options to suit all), St. Gery (great bars for evening). Not far from the iconic Hotel Metropole (have a beer indoors there, to see great old surroundings - not overcharged).

ASTRID rooms are fine, breakfast choice is good and it%26#39;s quiet enough, easy to reach from Metro De Brouckère, just 100 meters from Astrid Centre Hotel Brussels.

We want to move into the nearby bar called A LA COURONNE and live there! Great beer choice, filled with locals going about their business! Hard to beat.

You by any chance from the Wirral, with a sign-on name like that? I originate from West Kirby.

Enjoy Brussels!!
