Charleroi Airport to Simonis Train Station

Arriving at Charleroi Airport tomorrow mid afternoon with Ryan Air and want to know the cheapest way to get to Simonis Train Station?

Simonis isn%26#39;t a train station but a metro station. You can either take the Ryanair coach to Gare du Midi (price is on Ryanair%26#39;s and/or Charleroi Airport%26#39;s website) or a local bus 68 to Charleroi-Sud railway station and then train to Brussels Gare du Midi. Last time I looked they cost much the same but I think the coach price has gone up so you would now save a couple of euros going by bus + train: but, I heard the timetables are not well-coordinated so you may have something of a wait at the station and in my opinion it%26#39;s not enough of a saving to justify the additional change of means of transport. Either way it will be less than €20.

Once at Gare du Midi, the easiest way to get to Simonis is to follow signs to the Metro and then take line 2, direction Simonis, all the way to the terminus. This will cost €1.70 if you buy an individual paper ticket, or €1.60 with Mobib (chip card); it%26#39;s the same price for any journey on STIB (Brussels city transport) for up to 60 minutes.
