In Bruges (Film)

Does anyone know the name of the Hotel which was used in the film In Bruges. Were thinking of travelling to Bruges for the Christmas / New Year. Do you know if there are Christmas Markets?

Thanks for your help.

1) In the film the hotel is called %26quot;De Rozenkransje%26quot; which is not only not a real name but it isn%26#39;t even grammatical in Dutch! (It would have to be De Rozenkrans - the rosary - or Het Rosenkransje - diminutive.) Apparently they used B%26amp;B No. 11 and the Hotel Die Swaene, but they may have shot the interiors somewhere entirely different. Several hotels are offering special deals tied in with the film, see telegraph.co.uk/travel/…article1586373.ece

and

brugge.be/internet/…3

(where you can download a map of sites connected with the film).

2) Yes, from 21/11 to 31/12/08; and an open-air ice-rink and ice sculpture festival.

My wife and I are also planning to be in Bruges during Christmas. I actually just downloaded a guide for In Bruges (the film) from the Bruges Tourism site. Here%26#39;s the link.

Enjoy!

It was the Relais Bourgondisch Cruyce. We stayed there this May and one of the owners told ua about the movie, so we rented it once we got bavck home. What is now different is they have renovated a bit and the walls are a lighter color (gray, white) not dark like in the movie. It is a great place--see the reviews and traveler photos.
