budget restaurants in Brussels and Ghent

I am searching for something cheap but with atmosphere, better if local cuisine or asian. Thank you

Le Progres on the Korenmarkt in downtown Gent has some pretty decent prices daily specials. As does het Groot Vleeshuis close to the Count%26#39;s Castle.

It might be an idea to define %26quot;cheap%26quot;, and specify whereabouts you want to be in Brussels. You can eat cheaply at Vietnamese places but they tend not to be very strong on atmosphere - or there%26#39;s one halfway down Lesbroussart, between Avenue Louise and Place Flagey, but I%26#39;m not sure whether that would be convenient, and I can%26#39;t remember its name right now. Anyway, that%26#39;s a good area also for Japanese restaurants.

Otherwise, try Arcadi at the far (furthest from GP) end of the Galeries St. Hubert, but definitely avoid the places in the Ilôt Sacré (rue des Bouchers, petite rue des Bouchers...) if you don%26#39;t want any nasty surprises, they are famous for padding the bill.

yes I would like to avoid bad surprises or tourist traps! in Brussels we%26#39;ll stay in Rou de Rouleau so something close would be appreciate! thank you to all
