Belgium

I was wondering if anyone could tell how late the local trains run in Belgium? I have printed out some schedules and on all of them the last train runs at 17:00 - that seems kinda early. Am I missing something?

Also is the Belgium Rail Pass avaliable at all stations? And can they be shared between people? How do you fill them out? How about for connecting trains?

Thanks

It depends where you are going, but I can%26#39;t think of anywhere where the last train runs at 17.00, generally it is around midnight. Perhaps if you said what connections you were looking at...

Yes you can buy the SNCB%26#39;s Rail Pass at any station. It is for 10 journeys (1 journey being from departure to final destination station, does not matter if you change so long as you take the next connection). I don%26#39;t know how the pass works now but it used to be that you filled it in yourself, however it will be checked on board by an inspector so if there were some unexplained gaps, e.g. because you left the station to visit the town you changed trains at, rather than catching the next connection, this would show up.

As is specifically indicated on the B-Rail website, the pass is not nominative so you can use it for as many people as you like. If there are 2 of you, you complete it for 2 journeys, obviously (exactly like multi-trip cards on buses except that those are stamped in a machine).

You should find a train untill 22:30-23:00. I live in a small village and departing from Antwerp my last train was 22:30.
