cafe in Brussels, near Brussels Midi railway station

Hi! I am going to Brussels for the first time. Does anybody know nice cafe very close to Brussels Midi just to wait for couple of hours for the train arrival? Thank you. E.

There is nothing at all nice close to Brussels Midi, but the station itself is full of cafés, my favourite is Haagen-Dazs since it is a bit out of the way and therefore quieter (platform 1 end of the station, with the Eurostar terminal on your left it is down the %26quot;corridor%26quot; on the right).

With 2 hours, you could %26quot;afford%26quot; to take the underground tram (follow signs to metro) 3 stops to Bourse and visit the Falstaff on the right hand side of the stock exchange building. Indeed if you walk behind that building you will find the Grand%26#39; Place. Allow 15-20 minutes for the trip each way although it shouldn%26#39;t take anything like that long.
