Need help : Travel in Brussels and restaurant recommendation

Hi,

My family and myself are arriving in Brussels from Amsterdam on Thalys on Aug 4th. We fly back to US on the morning of the 6th.

We are taking the train to Ghent and back on the 4th.

On the 5th we intend to do the HOHO tour. But since the tour does not start until 10a we are hoping to catch a tram to the Belgian Comic strip ctr and pick up the tour later.

Is there a tram that goes to the comic strip ctr from the hotel? We are staying at the Hotel Noga on Rue du Béguinage.

Also, are there any good restaurants (not very exp) near the hotel. We have two kids age 9 and 4.

Any help will be appreciated!

Thanks to all!

1) Firstly, I%26#39;m afraid the Comic Strip Museum also only opens at 10 a.m. so you might as well go straight for the HoHo bus. Secondly, there is no tram from rue du Béguinage to the rue des Sables where the museum is, but in any case it%26#39;s only about 10 minutes walk from your hotel, although you will need a map to find it. Basically you need to cross rue de Laeken, Bd. Jacqmain, Bd. Adolphe Max (the yellow street between R20 and Wolvengracht on here: http://www.cbbd.be/en/

practical-information/getting-here), rue Neuve (pedestrianized shopping street) and Place des Martyrs, turn left into rue du Marais and almost immediately right into rue des Sables (last time I was around there there was a building site on the corner which might help to orientate you).

2) There are lots of restaurants around Ste. Catherine metro station which is not far from your hotel, or walking a little further towards the Bourse (stock exchange) you might like the Amadeo at 26-28 rue Ste. Catherine, which does all-you-can eat spareribs (and some other things like scampi).
