Are there any boat trips, Barges around Brugge?

Hi, we are going for a romantic 2 days to Brugge at the end of this week and I wondered if you can take a canal boat trip at all (or better still, hire one). The houses by the canals look very beautiful and it would be a nice way of relaxing as we%26#39;re doing a lot of driving to get there.

Any ideas very welcome.

Thanks

Eva

Brugge is well-known for its canal boat trips, and you can also take a longer trip by boat from Brugge to Damme. However, these are not barges, in Brugge itself they are motorboats (see picture on here http://www.trabel.com/brugge/bruges-canals.htm) while the one that goes to Damme is a paddle-steamer.

The trip to Damme on the canal is very nice and it%26#39;s a very pleasant walk to the place the boat leaves from--you go along the ring canal with windmills. You can go back on the next boat or staty and spend some time exploring Damme. We really enjoyed it.

Found a better photo of the boats in Brugge, in front of the Orangerie hotel: www.hotelorangerie.com/Engels/locationUK.htm
