Driving from Brussels to Spa Francorchamps

Anyone able to offer any advice on what the drive from Brussels to Spa Francorchamps for the F1 Grand Prix is like?

A hire car doesn%26#39;t seem to be much more expensive than the train and is faster unless there are long queues to get into the circuit car parks...

I can%26#39;t tell you what the queues for marking are like, I guess it would depend on what time you arrive! Presumably you have seen the access map on http://www.spafrancorchamps.be/route_eng.asp

If you have GPS, I am advised that a good address to use is: Station Total de Francorchamps - route du circuit 16 , 4970 Francorchamps - Stavelot

GPS coordinates: E 5° 58%26#39; 15%26quot; - N 50° 26%26#39; 42%26quot;

From the Total station, you turn left at the first roundabout and then take the first turning on the right (small road going into the woods) or if this is closed, continue to the next roundabout and turn right there, either way you should arrive at 2 large carparks, and then you have the ticket gates (guichets). Unfortunately I don%26#39;t know how this corresponds to the map on the website.

For the total route, you can use www.viamichelin.com.

Thanks for that: appreciated.

I hadn%26#39;t seen the map but it%26#39;s very useful, as were your more detailed directions.

All I need now is to hear from someone who has actually driven there and who can tell me how busy the access is. Previous experiences of Silverstone lead me to be concerned!
