We are visiting Brussels for the day in December for the xmas market. I was just wondering how we get from the Eurostar station (Midi?) to the central square and how long it will take?

I presume your title collapes Grand%26#39; Place and Central Station, but Grand Central Station is in New York!
To get to Gare centrale from Midi, just take any local train going North, e.g. all those going to the airport, and get off at the next stop. It will take 3 minutes once you are on the train and there must be a train every 10 minutes from Midi. You don%26#39;t even have to pay (again) as your Eurostar ticket is to Brussels and covers you to any other station in the city.
Once at Gare centrale, go out the main exit, cross to Citibank, go under the archway and turn right (downhill), you should now see the belfry and can navigate by that. 5 minutes.
The Winter Market starts on the other side of the Grand%26#39; Place, by the Bourse (stock exchange) .
