Help! One Week trip to Europe

We are going to be going to Belgium, Amsterdam and Paris over the course of one week in October.

Please provide any advice that you have!

Day One - Me %26amp; my sister arrive in Brussels %26amp; travel to Mechelen (my sister is attending a conference in Mechelen) ---- Any advice on how to get from Brussels to Mechelen?

Day Two - Me %26amp; my sister would like to do a day trip to (Brugge or Antwerp??) --- Any suggestions for what to do/see?

Day Three - My husband flies into Brussels so my sister %26amp; I will go and meet him in Brussels that afternoon. We%26#39;d like to go earlier in the day and see some sights (he lands at 4:30pm). Should we meet him at the airport or should we have him meet us somewhere?

It is my sister%26#39;s 30th birthday that day so we wanted to plan a special evening including going to Delirium bar. Any suggestions?

We%26#39;ll go back to Mechelen that evening from Brussels (see Day One question).

Day Four - My sister will be at her conference so my husband %26amp; I were going to sightsee in Mechelen. Should we stay in Mechelen or should we go to Brussels?

Day Five - Once my sister is done her conference, we would like to travel to Amsterdam. Any suggestions on how to get to Amsterdam? Once we get there, any suggestions on which area/hotel to stay in?

Day Six - Any suggestions on the %26quot;must do/see%26quot; things in Amsterdam? We%26#39;ll spend the day there and then leave for Paris in the evening. Any suggestions on how to travel from Amsterdam to Paris?

Any suggestions on which district/hotel we should stay in when we get to Paris? I%26#39;ve heard a lot of recommendations for St. Germain and Marais

Day Seven - We will spend the day in Paris. Any suggestions for %26quot;must do/see%26quot; things?

Day Eight - We fly home. What is the best way to get to Charles de Galle Airport?

Thank you so much for everyone%26#39;s advice!

1) Mechelen is on the railway line from Bruxelles-Midi (passing through Central and Nord) to Antwerp and Essen. From the station below Brussels Airport take the train to Bruxelles-Nord (20 minutes) and change there for Mechelen (another 20 minutes).

2) Look under %26quot;Things to do%26quot; list on the left in relevant forum.

3) Most convenient station in Brussels for sights is Gare centrale, 5 minutes from the Grand%26#39; Place. You can either get the train out to the airport (€2.90) or suggest your husband comes into Gare centrale; you could meet near ticket windows/main exit. There are left-luggage facilities on the level below the ticket office, follow signs to the consigne.

Delirium is maybe 10 minutes%26#39; walk away, in a little alleyway off rue des Bouchers, which itself opens off the Galeries St. Hubert. Rue des Bouchers is tourist trap except Chez Léon and Aux Armes de Bruxelles.

4) Depends on what you did the day before and how you feel on the day.

5) There%26#39;s a direct IC train to Amsterdam-Centraal from Mechelen at 42 minutes past each hour, e.g. 09:42, arr. 12:06 (2h24).

6)-8) not for this forum
