We are off to Brussels at the weekend and are staying pretty central at the Arlequin. Can any one suggest the best place in the centre to go for Mussels whilst we are there please.

I would recommend you go to Chez Léon, http://uk.chezleon.be/index.asp?ID=476, one of the few recommendable places in rue des Bouchers (and petite rue des Bouchers and rue Grétry), very close to your hotel, and an absolute Belgian classic.
DON%26#39;T be tempted by any of the places in that area - known as the Ilôt Sacré - with a display outside and %26quot;barkers%26quot; trying to encourage you in. It%26#39;s not that you would be poisoned but somehow they always seem to make mistakes with the orders/bill.
The places in the Galerie St. Hubert are also fine, e.g. La Taverne du Passage.
