NH Atlanta Or Marriott

I will be in Brussels next week for a business trip.

Just wondering which hotel is more convenient as I have to make trips to Huizingen for a couple of days.

Thanks

I will be in town on business also. I picked the Marriott looks like it is in a central location.

The only real difference (unless you are going by rented car, when the Marriott has its own - expensive - parking garage) is that the Marriott is on top of Bourse pre-metro station while the Atlanta is a couple of minutes%26#39; walk from the tram part of De Brouckère, slightly closer to DB than to Rogier.

Otherwise the easiest way to go would probably be to take any tram going to Gare du Midi (so from Bourse if at the Marriot, or De Brouckère if at the Atlanta) and change there to bus 50 to Lot (Huizingen): http://www.planitram.be/EN/stib/EN50.html

By train, line 26 from Vilvoorde to Halle, the last-but-one stop on which is Huizingen, doesn%26#39;t pass through the %26quot;normal%26quot; North-Central-South axis but Haren, Bordet, Evère, Meiser, Mérode, Delta, Boondael, Uccle-Saint-Job, Moensberg and Beersel (then Huizingen), see www.planitram.be/EN/sncb/ENsncb26.html.

To use this line, you would therefore do better to stay around Mérode (Derby, Best Western Park Hotel or possibly the Montgomery). Otherwise, from the city centre, both Mérode and Delta are easily reached on metro line 1 but from De Brouckère, halfway between the 2 hotels you mention.

There is also De Lijn bus 153 which goes to Huizingen but there is nowhere particularly convenient for you to catch it, see http://www.planitram.be/FR/tdl/FRs.html: tram no. 4 which you can catch at Bourse intersects with it at Egide van Ophem but it%26#39;s a long way and Carrefour Stalle, where the bus would be coming the opposite way.
