Hi Guys thinking of a trip to Brussels in dec for a short break and also to see the Christmas Market, we are thinking of the Marriott Hotel to rest our (hopefully weary heads)have read the review%26#39;s but just wondered if any of you guys out there have any comments on the Marriott = good or bad.

I can only comment on location (and on the strange English used in the archeological display in the restaurant, which talks about fish being capturated and consumated..). It will be bang in the middle of the Winter Market, which has stalls around the Bourse and then meanders to the Ste. Catherine area. The Bourse (stock exchange) was lit up last year with a sort of soundless light display, and as this is bang opposite the Marriott, I%26#39;m not sure whether this would be a bother for bedrooms on the Bd. Anspach side. You couldn%26#39;t be much more central, although the fact that the connection to Gare du Midi (if you are coming by Eurostar) is by underground tram is not the most convenient if you have a lot of luggage (most trams are still high up with narrow entrances). But it is only 3 stops from Midi.
