my Eurostar time table has changed (after the fire) and I%26#39;m now worried that I won%26#39;t get my connecting train. I arrive in Brussels Midi at 11.50 and am due to catch a pre-booked train in Brussels Nord at 12.07: is that at all possible?
Thank you for your help.

What (bookable) train are you catching that only starts at Gare du Nord? Are you absolutely certain it doesn%26#39;t go through Midi - e.g. ICE to Frankfurt?!
You have the following possibilities for travel from Midi to Nord on a weekday (you didn%26#39;t say when you were arriving):
Midi 11:51 Arr. Nord 11:58 (Leuven)
Midi 11:53 Arr. Nord 12:00 (Antwerp)
Midi 11:55 Arr. Nord 12:02 (Schaerbeek)
Midi 11:57 Arr. Nord 12:04 (Eupen)
Midi 11:59 Arr. Nord 12:05 (Frankfurt) this happens to depart Nord at 12:07.... I wonder ???

With that little time in between I do not really see this happening. First of all it has been a while since I took the Eurostar but then you still had to go through customs in Brussels and that would already kill some time. Second if your eurostar coach is at the end of the platform that is a long walk before you are even able to leave the track. Third, this leave no room at all for delays. Under ideal circumstances this cold be feasable and only if you are familiar with the midi and nord stations.

Wow that must have been a very long time ago. Not since the early days have there been passport (and there never were customs) controls on arrival in Brussels: passport controls for UK exit and Schengen entry are both done before departure from the UK and within the EU there are no customs controls, therefore you get straight off the train, down an escalator/steps, and then if the train is indeed leaving from Midi as I think it ought to be, find platform and take escalator up. It may be possible to find out what platform the train goes from if it is confirmed that it does indeed leave from Midi, and on what day.
However, it is not impossible that Eurostar will be delayed anyway, so if at all possible I would advise a change of booking. That%26#39;s if it is a booking, of course, and not just an advance purchase: if it is a reservation, ticket will have a carriage and seat no. on it, if it isn%26#39;t, ticket is valid for any train.
BTW, I just noticed that this question is in the Brugge forum even though it appears to concern Brussels: if by any chance that means this train is to Brugge (but I can%26#39;t see one at 12:07!), then for one thing there is certainly no %26quot;booking%26quot;, and for another it wouldn%26#39;t be necessary to transfer to Nord.
