Brussels to Bruges

I plan to travel to Brussels for my 10 year wedding anniversary and want to visit Bruges on the actual anniversary day, which is a Sunday.

Can anyone confirm if the trains are ok on Sundays and if all attractions etc are usually open as well

Thanks

Trains run on Sundays and most museums etc. are open (normal closing day for these is Monday) but of course if you want to visit churches there may be services in progress.

For train timetable, simply fill in a Sunday date in here: http://bahn.hafas.de/bin/query.exe/en

Departure: whichever station in Brussels e.g. Bruxelles-central; arrival: Brugge, it will ask you to confirm as there is a station called Brugge-Sint-Pieters, confirm Brugge and then it may ask you your age - fill in anything between 26 and 59 if not entitled to youth or senior fares - for no good reason at all, but you may find this German timetable site simpler to use than the Belgian one
