12 hrs in Brussels

Hi, we are stopping in brussels on the way from Paris to Amsterdam for about 12 hrs. Train arrives at Midi (Thalys). How can I get to Grand Place and also what else should I try to see in Brussels.

What is a good place for a quick lunch ?

I did not make further reservation to Amsterdam from brussels on Thalys. Can I take other trains, if so from which station and where can I put the luggage while we walk around?

Finally where can i go to buy some diamonds in Brussels or is this fro Antwerp ?

thanks

1) Take local train 1 stop to Gare centrale: any train going to the airport, for instance. It%26#39;s included in your Thalys ticket since this is to %26quot;Brussels%26quot; which means any station in the city.

2) You can leave your luggage at Gare centrale (it has both a staffed %26quot;consigne%26quot; and lockers) and Grand%26#39; Place is no more than 5 minutes walk away, downhill. At the bottom of the hill, on the right (rue du Marché aux Herbes) you will see the entrance to Galeries St. Hubert, if you go through that and to the end you could have a quick lunch at Artiges, right by the exit on the far side of the GP entrance.

3) You can take an InterCity train to Amsterdam from Gare centrale at 19 minutes past every hour on weekdays, takes just under 3 hours.

4) Antwerp is where the diamond dealers are, but Gautam in the GP is a chain you could look in to see what %26quot;normal%26quot; prices are like.
