Morning,
My boyfriend and I are staying in Bruges ( Portinari Hotel) on 31Dec 2nts - for the New Year.
We are flying into Brussels, please can you advise the best way to get from the airport to the hotel in Bruges?
Are taxis expensive? or is it better to take a train?
If so, please advise what train we should take and to which station in Bruges.
With many thanks, Jo

Yes taxis are expensive, the distance is about 100km.
As far as the train trip is concerned, this is a FAQ, look at questions below e.g. tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g188671-i448-k2224…

I suggest trains. Stations are close at both ends and Belgian railways are normally frequent, clean, on time and cheaper than UK.

You can get a train from Brussels National Airport to Bruges. You need to change at either Brussels Midi or Centraal.
Have a look here http://www.b-rail.be/main/E/ you get off at Bruges station. Website will also give you an idea of costs.
