I am thinking of booking a trip in November to Antwerp. Pricing the flights has shown me that Ryanair are half the price of aer lingus to Brussels. However Ryanair fly to Charleoi while Aer Lingus fly to Brussels airport. Ryanair usually leave you starnded in an airport miles from anywhere, is this the case here. Would I be better off paying the extra for Aer Lingus because it will be easier when I get over there? Thanks for any hlep on this matter.

Hello, you have several possibilities.
Of course Brussels Airport (where Aer Lingus lands) is closer to Anwterp, but none of the airports is really FAR away.
Personally, I would prefer Aer Lingus, but it%26#39;s up to you to judge the price difference.
From Brussels airport, you have a direct bus service to Antwerp, comfortable coaches, also with luggaga. take a look at brusselsairport.be/en/…bus.
From Charleroi-Brussels South airport (Ryanair), you have two possibilities:
- either take the bus to Brussels Midi station and from there a train to Anwterp (those are frequent).
- or take a local bus (very short ride) to Charleroi Sud station. From there you can take a direct train to Antwerp, it takes a bit longer and trains are not so frequent.
Here is the info on the Charleroi airport website:
www.charleroi-airport.com/doc.php…
For information on trains (from Brussels Midi or from Charleroi Sud; http://www.b-rail.be/main/E/index.php.
All in all, I think the bus from Brussels airport is easiets (45 min only).
Have fun!

Charleroi Airport is in Gosselies, about an hour away from Brussels, and there is a shuttle bus that goes from there to Brussels%26#39; Gare du Midi, cost something like €13, and if you were to continue by train to Anterpen-Centraal, that costs €6.30.
However it would probably be better to take a local bus (68, I think, and fare will be around €1 or 2) from Charleroi Airport to Charleroi-Sud railway station and from there a direct train to Antwerpen-Centraal, which takes 1h35 and leaves at 05 and 35 minutes past every hour on weekdays: cost €12.90 one way.
From Brussels Airport, on the other hand, there is a direct express bus to Antwerp which takes 45 minutes and costs €10: http://www.brusselsairport.be/en/
