I would like to see pictures of the city hall building and learn about when and by whome it was designed/built.

It seems there are 3 of them (or at least 2 1/2)!
1) The Heemhuis was the %26quot;gemeentehuis%26quot; from 1877 till 1987. Since 1989 it has been the seat of the Heemkundekring Amalia van Solms, a local history society; and in 1994 it was declared as a monument. From the picture on their website: http://www.amaliavansolms.org/joomla/

it seems to be the same building as this one: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/

According to the Baarledigitaal website, this building was designed by an architect (who was also the %26quot;provinciaal bouwmeester%26quot;) called Taeijmans or Taeymans and built by J. Horsten from Wortel.
2) In 1986 the previous Boys%26#39; School was transformed into the new gemeentehuis, and came into use in 1987. I haven%26#39;t been able to find a photo of this building (well I didn%26#39;t look too hard) or any information about it, if this is the one that interests you, I would suggest you e-mail one of the following who both claim to accept questions on local history:
info@amaliavansolms.org
webmaster@baarledigitaal.org
3)In June this year work started on a new gemeentehuis on Parallelweg: http://www.nieuwsblad.be/Article/
