Hi there Petal,
I%26#39;m also planning on heading to Bruges with my partner around Christmas, have you found any good places to stay or things to do?
Cheers

Hi,
There are plenty of hotels, B%26amp;B%26#39;s, Cafe%26#39;s, Bar%26#39;s, Shops, restaurants and things to do and see in Bruges so you will be spoilt for choice.
Without knowing exactly the type of thing you are looking for it%26#39;s difficult to give specific advice. For both accomodation and dining it%26#39;s possible to find something around Bruges that will suit everyone.
For accomodation, when I visit Bruges I always stay at The Aragon. It%26#39;s excellent quality and to me, reasonably priced. http://www.aragon.be
The Aragon also has a sister hotel called Oud Huis De Peellaert which is a little more expensive and therefore I assume you get something for the extra cost. Having not been there I can%26#39;t comment. Some friends of mine have and said it%26#39;s nice.
There%26#39;s lots of wonderful things to see in Bruges. The buildings are amazing. My personal preference would be to get a map of the city and explore on foot... although the canal boat trip is well worth doing as is the horse drawn carriage should you not fancy walking around!
You%26#39;ll easy find places to eat in Bruges. Again it depends on exactly the type of thing/price you are looking for. There%26#39;s everything from Pizza Hut to a 3 Michelin Star restaurant. I%26#39;ve been to Bruges around 10 times now and still have many restaurants on my %26#39;To do%26#39; list.
A good tip is to avoid the Mark%26#39;t square if you can. Generally i%26#39;ve found the food isn%26#39;t as good as other places within a few minutes walk of the square and as with any place in the world, the more central you are, the more you pay.
My favourite restaurant in Bruges is au Petit Grand http://www.aupetitgrand.be which is about two minutes walk from the Mark%26#39;t square. It%26#39;s also opposite a nice bar called Cambrinus http://www.cambrinus.eu the food is also good quality here.
Hope this helps. Enjoy your stay in Bruges :-)
