Can anyone recommend some midrange priced restaurants in Bruges please.
Would like to try local cuisine and seafood.

De Gastro at Braambergstraat 6 by the fish market is really good (in my opinion anyway) - I eat there whenever I get the chance. The food is a modern take on local classic dishes.

There are loads of nice places to eat in Bruges. For good Belgian cuisine in classic surroundings i%26#39;d recommend %26#39;t Huidvetterhuis which is on Huidvettersplien (small square by Vismark%26#39;t) http://www.huidevettershuis.be i%26#39;ve been there before and it was excellent.
For not so much classic belgian cuisine but still an excellent restaurant I would recommend Au Petit Grand on Philipstockstraat. We visit this place every time we go to Bruges as the ambience and food are both excellent. http://www.aupetitgrand.be/
If you fancy some beer cuisine try either Erasmus on Wollestraat http://www.hotelerasmus.com or Den Djiver on Djiver. Not been to Den Djiver as it is a little more pricey but i%26#39;ve heard and read lots of good things about it.

Sorry, another place we really liked last time we went was Assiette Blanche again on Philipstockstraat. This place has only been open just under a year but the food was excellent. Probably upper end of mid priced I would say.

Thanks each for the info. Will get to try as many as possible over the four days we are in Bruges.

You should try %26#39;Curiosa%26#39; In the Vlamingstraat. Look carefully because it%26#39;s just a gate with a stairs running down, and you walk passed it without noticing. It%26#39;s rather a tavern, but they have a great fishcasserole (I don%26#39;t know the word in English, sorry... all kinds of fish stewed toghetter with schrimps). You can just go to enjoy a drink also. I think this place is the most charming of entire Brugge, because it%26#39;s located in a cellar. Go check it out!

Not strictly a restaurant, more of a pub but Cambrinus on Philipstockstraat does excellent food - I only had the %26quot;gardeners salad%26quot; when I visited (due to me not feeling too well that day) but by God it was gorgeous - I could eat it for lunch for the rest of my life, and all for only 6 euros. And in my book, if the kitchen gets a basic salad dead right, the rest of the cooking tends to be good too, and my friends who%26#39;ve visited tell me the main courses are wonderful.

Otherwise I%26#39;d recommend Erasmus and Den Dijver - albeit don%26#39;t go to the latter if you%26#39;re in a hurry!

Agree with ReuzeEmma, the food in Cambrinus is excellent as is the choice of beers (around 400!). I%26#39;ve had lunch in there a couple of times. The Pate platter is enough to share (although I managed one on my own!) and the Chimay cheese omlette was excellent.

Thanks for the info everyone. We are really looking forward to our break in Bruges.

It%26#39;s a little pricey, but SO worth it...The Sixties. It is inside the Hotel Ravenstein.

Really enjoyed the Cambrinus also. If you enjoy beer, they have a house beer that comes in dark and light. Sorry I can%26#39;t remember the name. Maybe someone on here will know.
