Hy! Next year i%26#39;ll move to ghent for a year. please tell me how is life in ghent? i am a little bit scared because i will be all by myself there. thanks

No reason to be scared at all. On the contrary. Don%26#39;t know where you live now. But Ghent is a very liveable, thriving city, with lots of young people (biggest student city in belgium). Small Town, Big City.
Furthermore the city centre looks absolutely fabulous. Cozy restaurants galore. Belgian cuisine. Should I say more?
%26#39;Wijs%26#39; in Dutch means wise. In the Ghent dialect it has a second meaning. Try to find out. And you%26#39;ll know what kind of city Ghent is. Youl%26#39;ll never be scared again.

Ghent is a very safe place, even at night. Only avoid the Overpoortstraat (street) in the student area since it is the place where students tend to stay who are more interested in drinking then studying :)
