road trip through belgium

im driving to czech republic in the next few weeks.

i wasa wondering if anyone can suggest things to do and see in belgium as iv never been there but want to see more of the country then the road.

maybe some places in germany aswell?

We spent a week (with car) based in Brugge and did day trips throughout Belgium last March. I%26#39;d recommend the following:

1) Brugge - spend at least a day walking around this city. Quite touristy, but very nice, with some great museums.

2) Ypres and Flanders Field - nice smaller town with a very good museum (Flanders Field Museum)

3) Ghent - close to Brugge, and less touristy

We also drove through several parts of Germany. Depends on your route to Czech, but the Rhine area is nice (Boppard) and so is Rothenburg.
